Going to do a 120 hr online tefl.
Came across this one. Good price.
Anyone done or know if this company / program is legit ie accredited?
Says on their website they are accredited by Accreditat

Totally meaningless. There is no meaningful accreditation of TEFL courses. CELTA, Trinity and SIT provide both name recognition and quality control. University programs have some degree of quality control built in more often than not. Outside of that you're on own as far as determining the value and usefulness of any particular course--think "buyer beware." It's a business, trying to sell you something.

I suppose this is more Vietnam specific as I am moving there. Their government accepts various online TEFLs. |

If you plan to teach elsewhere in the world, be aware that some governments and regions (e.g., the Gulf/Mid East) do not recognize degrees and credentials with online components. |

It would be pretty useless in Europe also, but if it is sufficient to satisfy Vietnam and you don't plan to try to impress employers elsewhere, seems ok for your purpose.
This TEFL plus experience in Vietnam also wouldn't open doors where the entry requirements are for onsite quals, so if you decide to relocate later, expect to need an upgrade on your quals. |
