Hey, I'm finally in Taipei, and I just wanted to thank the folks who post here... I wouldn't have made it (or at least, I'd be absolutely unprepared) without your helpful information. Yes, even you "naysayers."

If you need any support , I am sure you will find some here. Mostly people need emotional support. There are so many things here that take getting accustomed to. Remember things are not always what they may seem to be, culturally speaking. Tai Chi in the park can be a great way of relaxing. As a newbie you will probably be walking a lot, just a reminder to be extra careful on the sidewalks here- scooters can be a real hazard.
