Hi Guys

I don't know if this is the same school that our friend from the previous Brindisi post was asking about, but I have seen this school advertised, and was wondering if anybody had any experience of this school.

They are offering a flat, next to the school too. I don't mind that as, in the past, I have had to let the directors know that my privacy must be respected and there will be no weekend visits to have 'quick chats'.

The city itself looks nice, but does anybody have any information, please, in terms of how easy it is to get to Rome, Milan or Turin airports? I don't want to travel for what seems like an eternity just to get to the airport, then wait around for hours for the flight.

I thank you for the time, Guys, and any valuable advice and information that you can give.

With gratitude.

Hiya,

I don't know anything about the school Britannia you mentioned, but I worked for the British School which has a school in Brindisi and a school in Taranto, where I was based.

You can actually fly to a lot of places from Brindisi airport itself - I came and went on Ryanair flights to London for ~£80 a pop including bags and Brindisi also has flights to Rome, Milan etc for very little. You can get a direct bus from outside Brindisi train station to the airport, so there's a good link between the rail and air networks if you needed.

Brindisi on the whole is a nice, quiet southern italian city where people are friendly enough and the climate is wonderful. It's also cleaner than a lot of other Italian cities in terms of rubbish. If there was to be a slight criticism then it would be the lack of much to do outside socialising in bars and going to the beach, however I love snorkling and diving so this wasn't an issue for me for one year!

Best of luck with it.
