I wanted to work overseas and I like kids. In middle school the teachers would have me helping other kids do their maths, in secondary school all the career 'tests' directed me towards teaching but I ignored them and went into personal finance. Seems the tests weren't altogether wrong. |

I'm on the same wavelength as the previous two posters (Bud & ITHOTM). I really enjoy my students and the vast amount of preparation that goes into creating interesting lesson plans for the various units. I teach approx 15 different Science units across 5 grades. My lessons have improved significantly over the years and are almost never the same. I hate observing teachers who are obviously just going through the motions and/or it seems quite clear that they don't really like kids. If/when that day comes for me I will move on from teaching! |

I try to infect any colleague with the certainty no being is without the longing to demonstrate what is familiar and assimilate any aligned suggestion, but as we all know, the teachers to inspire us are a minority. |
