I posted this question before and am hoping for more specific info.

I am thinking of taking a job at a uni in the mornings. Lots of free time.

Is there lots of extra work available during the daytime? I can easily get classes in the evenings and weekends but during the daytime, is it possible?

Tell your FAO that you'd like to do some extra work at a middle school or two. If she is older and has the connections, she undoubtedly has schools asking her for help because they don't have the authority to hire FTs. The most work I've ever gotten was from an older FAO who was a senior party official who got me as much work as I wanted, and most of it was a lot of fun. I told stories at middle schools and appeared in TV commercials. The pay was okay, but the FAO took her cut as well.

You could always try for corporate work, though this sort of thing is usually later in the day. Try to get permission from your FAO and seek permission to ask the City FAO for work.

Don't count on having blocks of time free in mornings. It doesn't seem to work that way. While your FAO has a lot of pull, she isn't the one doing the scheduling unless she is head of the FL department. You may have a Tuesday and Thursday free, but only if there are many (or too many) FTs. My experience is that the FL department assigns the least convenient schedules to the FTs. If you are tight with the FAO, she can put pressure on the department to give you a better schedule.

But if your FAO is a twenty-eight year-old bimbo, don't count on it.
