Hi, does anyone live in a furnished hotel apartment? Got a position with AED8000 housing allowance, is that enough to rent a studio at a hotel? I am sure it depends where, just want to have an idea.
I lived in the UAE before, in Fujairah, where this money was plenty.
Thanks for any input. |

Sure, it is doable.

You can balance out where you are working and transportation costs and calculate that into the mix. |

Try the Bin Majid (me and my wife stayed here and it's 5.5k currently for a month on booking.com) on Mina Street or the Al-Diar Dana Hotel in Tourist club area.
However, they'll try and screw you if you just walk in in most places so ring and negotiate. 8k sounds like a lot but, negotiate or it won't be enough. I went into many places when I first arrived in AD and some wanted 11-12k a month and were pits. |
