Last week in London SPSP won first prize in the education and training provider category at the Get Energy Global Awards.
No doubt their management will be keen to make this known throughout the industry.
However, they may not be so keen to tell people that they actually forced their own trainees and instructors to vote for them; and encouraged everyone to get friends and relatives to vote as well.
The voting was done by smartphone, with the QR Code made available to be scanned. This took you to the website, and instructions were given by management on how to complete the voting.
It worked! |

This seems to point up the "integrity deficit" that as teachers we often experience in Saudi, and across the Middle East.
No doubt posters can recount numerous examples of poor or manipulative management in the Kingdom, but we know that it kind of goes with the territory here.
I think there were other recent posts as well on this outfit (Spsp). Worth a read I think.

forced is too harsh a word. Strongly leaned on might be a better phrase!
Not everyone felt compelled to support the initiative, I might add.
But yes, it's typical.
At least as far as training Aramco recruits, SPSP is well worth working for and I wish more "outfits" brought as much integrity to their work. Can't speak for any other department there however. |
