I'm finishing my job here in Chongqing at the end of the month and I took a job for the fall in Shanghai and I'm trying to figure out when I can leave the country to go on vacation without losing my visa here are the my details:

FEC here in Chongqing is being canceled, school in Shanghai is now in the process of getting one there for me.

Residence permit here has not been canceled, school in Shanghai said not to cancel it now because then I would have to go through a new Z visa process it's valid through August 14th.

I think I need a new FEC to get a new residence permit in Shanghai right? I'm heading there next week to get an apartment. Then move over there shortly thereafter. Also when I got my new residence permit here in Chongqing it took them 3 weeks to issue it and keep my passport.

Can anybody give me some insight on when I could leave? My folks are bugging me on when I'll be there. Keep telling them I have no clue
