Hi, I would like some information on what some might consider a disability, epilepsy and ones chances of finding employment in Asia. I am considering taking a TEFL or CELTA, ( not sure which yet),and concerned it may be impossible to get work. I am a social worker, with a BA and BSW. I drive, have worked on call crisis ,so I do not consider it a problem but I know some do.I have experience in an ESL classroom while in college.
Would some of you who have had experience with the hiring process be able to offer some insight.
Thanks
Heather |

hey heather,
well it sounds like you'd be an extremely strong candidate for many jobs. As to the medical issue, i think we'd need a lot of people to give you a complete picture. I know that for korea all i needed was a travel clearance letter from a walk-in clinic, it was pretty easy, i think it cost me 15 dollars. Not sure if all hagwons ask for that, though. China had it's own form that they wanted filled out, but i'm not sure what issues it covered.
pm me is you're interested in information about korea |
