Do they also go under the name of Spark teachers? If so, I had an interview with them a couple of months ago for a position in Malaysia. Easy interview, very brief and just generally asking if I was interested in other countries too. They said they would put forward my details for the position but I obviously didn't get it because I heard no more from them. I get emails on vacancies from them on a fairly regular basis. I haven't heard of Spark Hire so maybe it's a different company.

This is something different. Spark Hire is a company that provides interviewing services to other companies. Candidates get an invitation to an 'interview' and log on anytime they want (within a deadline). You are presented with questions on screen and record your answers.

Some language testing is done this way too I believe.

It seems a bit odd but maybe it's the way of the future for companies expecting very large responses. It lets them sort out people quickly before a normal second interview.

One-way video interviewing isn't particularly new. It's been used in the US for a couple of years now and replaces the preliminary short phone interview that weeds out less than stellar job candidates.

I assume you're asking about it on this forum because you've been scheduled for a such an "interview" for a Saudi job.

Definitely a different company then. I haven't heard of this one way interview. Yes, it's probably a way of handling a large amount of applicants.
