Hi everyone,
I've just been asked to renew at my university, and will enter negotiations late next week.
I'm currently paid 10 months/year. I'm a bit unclear on how taxes are calculated... it kind of seems like it is done on a month-by-month basis, rather than averaged out over the year. If it is done month-by-month then it seems clear that having the salary paid out over 12 months is the right way to go.
Core question: I'm wondering if there are tax advantages to being paid over 12 months versus 10 months.
Any info regarding this is highly appreciated! |

It's always been taxed monthly for me, and other people I know. I don't think you get to choose how you're taxed, it just comes out of your pay before you see it. |
