One's current employer must approve an iqama transfer to a second employer, right? I believe this has been the case for some time, but I wonder what the situation is today? Has anyone gone through this recently? Thank you. |

They both have to agree. Some issue over loss of "slots", and there really is no
incentive for the first party to do it. In my time , I have also noticed it seems to favor those teachers from the region, or the cause. I also understand that if you can manage it once, then future employers may be obligated to faciliate the process again after a subsequent job change. Byzantine to say the least. |
