Hello,
I taught in China for over 20 years, but most things have changed so much that I guess I'm now a newbie,so...

I got a job through a recruiter, had the interview (5 mins via Skype) sent the documents I thought would be required -That was in September( Sept. 1st was my initial reply to ad) Here it is November 12th,and I've been waiting one week since my last response from the recruiter:
"called school yesterday, she said she uploaded the files to BEFA website at the very next day, It's still in process, anything new I'll update to you"

I can't see this job being still available.
Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.
Bernie AKA WW

P.S. The time & expense was quite something(makes KSA look strait forward) I have to think this is impeding ESL-ers flowing into China, even if the flow is now a trickle.

If this is a public school then i'm really suspicious as semester started 1 Sept.
If a language school then people start all the time and delay is just sloppiness.
If you don't know the name of the school then you are being hawked by recruiter and I would be flat out with other applications - which you should do anyway until you have an offer for visa purposes.

Dear Non Sequitur,
I signed the contract (like that means a lot -sarcasm) about 6-7 weeks ago.I had 2 different job offers originally, but ultimately I did not want to sign both contracts,as it could cause a problem later.

Cheers,
Bernie

Hope it works out.
