Al Quwayiyah is NOT the place to go if it's your first trip to KSA. Money isn't everything. Please read on.

LONG way from civilisation. Al Quwayiyah is a desert island. Check the location on google earth.
LONG hours
LOADS of observations, assessments....
You're stuck there, whatever the accommodation is like.
You'll be living with your colleagues, including anybody you don't get on with at work.
Nice bits:
Pool (where your colleagues'll hang out too)
Gym (where your colleagues'll hang out too)
Desert (where your colleagues'll hang out too)
Weekend trips to Riyadh (where your colleagues'll hang out too)
Forget your PGCE, CELTA ... No lesson preparation. Just perspiration.
To prepare for your classroom / teaching "environment",
watch "Lord of the Flies".
To prepare for your compound "life",
watch "Robinson Crusoe".

Sounds like the place a friend of mine worked at. The only difference was there was NO nice bits at all. No amenities. Zero. |
