Hi Folks,
Just a brief word of warning about this country. It is extremely restrictive with regard to transferring money in and out. In a word.......you cannot.
Coupled with the low value currency and the fact that being paid involves receiving thick wads of cash - it is not a country I would recommend. Be careful about choosing a school with qualified staff. Many will put native speakers in charge of classes - simply because they are native speakers.
Thirdly, a teacher's purchasing power definitely suffers as a result of being in this environment. I would recommend it for short assignments only, providing the establishment you work for is legitimate.[/b]
These factors combine to make Tashkent an unfriendly place to work.
