Hi,

I'm going to Taiwan in a few months, and I'm wondering about finding a job. Do I need to get there before the September school year starts, or can I get there a bit later and still find a job? The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to save $ on a plane ticket, so in the end, I'd rather have more jobs available to me than a few extra hundred dollars.

If you get here in September nearly all the good jobs will be gone.

August is a better time to come (preferably early) or even the end of July so you don't have to pay 20% tax for the rest of the year.

You say you are saving for the plane ticket. How about living expenses? It takes quite a while for your wages to come through.

Borrow the money & come early. It will be worth it.
