| I'm an ABC and I'm currently living in Taipei. I got here two months ago, but I've had some difficulty finding an English teaching position. All the ads that I've responded to say they're looking for a native English speaker with a North American accent. But when they find out that I'm an ABC, they reject me on the spot. Either the school is looking for a "foreigner" or a Chinese teacher (Mandarin a must). I'm getting quite discouraged and was wondering if anybody could offer advice on which schools accept ABCs that have no knowledge of Mandarin? Thank you for your help. |

| A friend told me that Hurray English School, located near the Nanjing E. Rd MRT station hires ABC, CBCs. They actually prefer to hire ABC/CBCs. I don't know their contact info but can get it for you if you need. Right now, I'm working on getting some one-on-one classes. |
