Does anyone have any up to date information on documents needed to transfer employers, within the same province? I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has actually done this recently.

I changed schools this year. My previous contract was with an education company. (both schools in Shanghai)
It was pretty painless as both parties were cooperative. I didnt need to provide notarised degree, police check, etc. They were just transferred over. School looked after everything, I just provided my passport when required and signed loads of forms. Longwinded but relatively painless process in the end. But perhaps I was lucky with how it all worked out. |

hey,
how long before the end of your old contract did you have to submit your passport and thus be without it?
I'm planning on moving schools but would like to travel overseas approximately two months before my current contract ends.

Submitted it about 6 weeks prior to end of contract and was without it for 2-3 weeks I think. It likely varies from school to school, province to province. |
