|
|
Hi, my husband has just returned to the Gulf region from Australia after completing his PhD in education. He will not get his actual PhD degree until April so in the meantime he is looking for a short-term teaching post for this coming spring semester anywhere in the ME. We currently live in the Gulf. He holds an MA in translation (Australia) and MEd in TESOL (UK).
What's the quickest way to find a tertiary teaching post for this coming spring semester??
His goal is to get tertiary teaching experience and earn some money while applying for university posts in education. What’s the easiest country to apply to?
Should he use a recruitment agency? If so, which one?
Thanks in advance |

His best bet would likely be Saudi Arabia. Contracting companies tend to hire year round. Check the TEFL job boards.
That said, he should research any company he's interested in. Saudi contracting companies tend to be sketchy -- some worse than others. |

They are changing their desired qualifications in all areas in anticipation of offering Bachelor degrees. I don't know if there are any openings but it can't hurt to get his CV in. The requirement of being Canadian in order to work there is also being transitioned away from. |
