My wife and I taught in Japan for 16 months. We are now back in the states, where I'm getting my Masters in Elementary Education. We both have TESOL degrees, but only I will have a teaching certificate. We will both be 35 by the time we're ready to return to Asia.
What kind of jobs/salary could we expect to find with these credentials, and would we be better served by looking for work elsewhere? We both have rudimentary Japanese.
Thanks much for any help. |

Having your Masters and a TESOL certificate will secure good employment. Why not try Saudi in a few years when things settle down? That's probably where great jobs can be found.
I'm sure you will do equally well here in HK. You could join the NET scheme! I'm sure she can get a job here (even though her employment may be more like Mickey Mouse ie:Institute )
Good luck. |
