My arc is now in transit but now my boss has informed me that MFA in Taichung wants to talk to me re my previous overstay.I think I have a valid excuse for my 6 week overstay but obviously I have concerns. What should I expect to happen?

Hope for the best plan for the worst. Start making arrangements for possible deportation. Don't quit your job but ask for a pay advance.
Don't send your things home but pack them up just in case.
Contact me in the event of a worse case scenerio,
Good luck,
A.

As it turned of I just had to submit a letter explaining why I overstayed. I noted that the overstay was unintentional and gave an apology. Although I was not "deported" I am worried about whether my arc will be approved or not. My visa runs out in a week.

Any opinions out there as far as what I should expect?
