I want to leave Shanghai, China and come to Taiwan. Frankly speaking how hard is it to get work w/out a degree especially if you are in your early fifties. I am very youthful looking if that helps but the passport gives my age, of course.
I am more than willing to go online and take a degree program. Can anyone give some suggestions for that? Are mail-order degrees accepted in Taiwan based on life experience, etc?
Trust me I have considered going back to Canada and getting the degree however I hesitate to rack up student loans and return only to find I'm considered too old anyway!
I'd really appreciate hearing from some old hands for your valued input.
Can you apply for the study visa only after arrival or can you get it in advance?
Also in a general sense how does Taiwan compare to the mainland?
