I haven't been in Germany since 1998.

I have been asked to take a 3 month assignment (Aug, Sep, Oct) this year. Locations could vary among Munich, Berlin and cities near major US bases.

Could someone give me an idea of what I should expect to pay for a short term rental of a 1 bedroom apt (or best equivalent for 3 months) and what food costs would be for a couple?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Check the MWZ at http://www.homecompany.de for prices on short-term apartments.

Food costs vary and are affected by including sundries or not. I'd budget about 100Euro per week to be on the safe side.
