I'd be grateful to hear from people how long it took to get the work visa procesed from the Turkish consulate in London. I've tried phoning but couldn't get through.
I expect to have the relevant documents within a week or two but don't expect to start work until Oct. I have a lot of commitments over the next month or so and I really don't want to spend too much time hanging around in the UK. Also, does the consulate keep your passport for the duration of the waiting period or are you at least able to go off on a cheap holiday somewhere?
Cheers folks, |

Hi, when i applied for my visa it only took about 4 weeks (ish). I had to go and have an 'interview' with the labour attache and present my application forms, fee and some photos. Then i had to wait about 4 - 5 weeks and then i was called back to pay the stamping fee and to present my passport which they kept for three days or so and then i was able to collect my passport complete with visa stamped inside.
Hope this helps.
