My husband and I are coming to VN at the end of the month - we're in our 40s-50s and hope to have some kind of social life with expats. Where is the best place to hang out??? Will be in HCMC initially then likely off to Vung Tau - anyone working there?? How about English TV channels?Anyone worked for VATC and if so - any comments?

Try www.saigonh3.com if you enjoy the outdoors. You shouldn't have a problem finding people.

ILA and Viet My have schools there and I think there are a few others. It is a nice, sleepy town for the most part.

CNN, BBC, Star Sports Asia, HBO and lots of others available. VTV has news reports in English a few times a day as well.
