The Niigata floods didn't affect me personally, except for the 30 seconds or so that the Mariners' game was interrupted due to fuzzy reception. And the flood-water-dirtied river over which I bungee jumped over the weekend, but that was in Yamagata-ken.
Other towns here seem to have fared much worse, though... They're still trying to dry themselves out.
