I'm a little embarassed to think that as a Westerner I'm apt to use too much TP and that the Chinese at work might notice. I mean, taking a dump the other day I noticed the rather skimpy amounts of TP that the others before me(probably Chinese) had neatly placed in the TP can. Then I noticed my big glob, rather like half a roll, just lying on top of theirs like an ugly mound of some fat slob's refuse. I can't help it, but I don't like tucking and folding my TP so as to save a little excess waste.

So my question is, how much TP do you use? Too much, too little? Cutting back now that you're in Taiwan?

I use too much than I should I suppose.

I don't fold it up like an art project, nor do I use the trash cans that make the whole place smell like poo.

Toilet Paper should not be abbreviated. I thought the R was missing in the acronym.

But it's a quote. I suppose I could put [toilet paper] in brackets like that. What R in what acronym is missing?

TPR. I thought this was going to be total physical response. Maybe I've been here and teaching too long.

Screw the wadding and tossing into a small wastebin! Just flush the stuff, it's more sanitary that way. Tropical heat and human waste sitting out in the open is just asking for a fecal coliform outbreak. I always flushed and never had any serious clogging problems in our apartment.

TP is toilet paper!?!?!

I've been trying to work out what it was in a couple of posts. I thought it was toothpaste for a while.

Me..I use 4 sheets, 6 if I've had a big meal.

The original poster however, would probably need a forest-load.

I usually wad it up now, kind of cram it in there. No use being self-conscious now I lost that job. Suppose they might've fired me if they found out the amounts I was using though.

Perhaps it was just the atmosphere of the place, too, that made me want to be cautious even about this. They probably had to cut back on expenses.

That's the first real insight you've had about Taiwan. Welcome. Naruwan.
