Oldbie? At 41?

Well, you asked for cheerful news, and the most cheerful news I can give you at the moment is that I am 68 and still making it in Shanghai.

I don't tolerate scumbag FAO's anymore, and I do quite nicely on a combination of Social Security and privates. The privates are managed by my rather hard-nosed Chinese wife, so all I have to do is teach. When I start getting annoyed with a student, I drop him. There are always more around who are willing to come to my home at RMB 200/hour.

Cheer up, kid!

Michael

DUDE! Look, by the sounds of it, you need to take a look at Your Extreme, what you've become in your time in China and reconsider where it is valuable. Obviously you've gone quite mad, but your insanity is cutting edge and has never really been experienced and researched. My Extreme's advice to you is to find a hospital that will pay you regularly for letting their Doctors do research on you rather than staying at your school that doesn't pay you at all for driving you mad. If your insanity is really cutting edge, it can be like gold and psychologists, governments, tv networks, rock stars, WWF wrestlers, car companies, para-scientists.....possibly even Coca Cola will pay you fortunes to let them study you. So in that light, maybe your school is paying you by giving you a more valuable form of insanity than the rest of us, and you can consider it their investment your future? Laughing

Let a voice of experience assure you that her bad behaviour may be more prevelent (still abnormal) than you know.

Sweet Jayzus, what a horror story! As our brethren from the UK would label her, an obvious nutter. Hope she doesn't start stalking you. That would be fun.

Well, William, you ought to speak French with her then!

"Ah, Madame, que voulez-vous? De l'anglais ou du francais? Alors, alors, ca coute cher, ca coute vraiment cher, ca coute vachement vraiment cher..."

Chinese women like extremely sexist movies, like they make in Hong Kong, with lots of Chinese women getting slapped and beaten. Maybe try a movie script instead of a visa application script. Movies are a great source of ideas for your own needs too: for your incident with the woman, Jewls' lines from the restuarant scene in 'Pulp Fiction' seem like extremely suitable advice:

Tell that b.tch to be cool..............
Say 'B.tch be cool !'
SAY 'B.TCH BE COOL !!'
SAY 'B.TCH BE COOL !!!!'
CHILL THAT B.TCH OUT !
CHILL THAT *beep* B.TCH OUT !
