Because of my comically large feet (size 11US/46UK) I find it really hard to get shoes here. I found one cobbler to make me some pretty snazzy dress shoes for about $30, but what I could really use is someone who can make me about 5 pairs of simple leather or rubber sandals.
I was going to make this thread about only cobblers, (mmmm.... cobbler...) but I think that may be too narrow. If you know of a good tailor that you want to advetise here, I'm always in the market for new ones, as well as tips about bad ones
For my part, I'm partial to the nice but very businesslike woman on Nui Truc (between Kim Ma and Giang Vo). Viet Soul (in the Old Quarter) has some nice people with good ideas, but their execution is often amateurish. |

Have you tried the Russian shop in Hanoi Towers? They've always got shoes and sandals in big export sizes.
