hi
I have received a lot of PMs asking about working and living in Syria generally and have tried to be as forthcoming as possible since I am aware that there appears to be very few NS EFL teachers here. Now, as I will be relocating to Damascus for 5 months this coming Sunday (1st august),if there are any of you who require any particular and current info on working (TEFL or other) and living there, I will do my best to assist. I have already posted some information on the JIJ* and on the Middle East Discussion Forum* about Deir Ezzor and Syria in general. However , if there is any additional info you wish to know about Damascus; esp working and living - related, I will try to find out after I arrive and have settled in. Hope this helps. PM me.
Regards
Basil
* Would appreciate it if details already given in my earlier postings are not asked for. They remain current. |

Hi Basil,
I don't plan to teach in Damascus but I'm thrilled to see someone offering information about a place instead of just asking for it. Giving rather than taking. It seems the majority of posts on Dave's go like: What's <insert cool place> like for jobs? Can I find work in <insert cool place>
Thanks,
Steve |
