Hi,
Does anyone know anything about this :
Is it possible to have a business visa to teach tango?
I understand one needs a letter from a local company to come over.
I know there's a tango school in Taipei and another in Taizhong but could i get a business visa without having a letter from them...what about from someone else who wants me to give tango classes but does not own a business (i.e. dance school)?
I'm a latin-canadian with a B.A. in Translation (2002 grad) and I have been doing tango for 4 years, did some in Argentina, speak mandarin and would like to introduce people there to Neo-tango which is danced on electronic music.
I visited Taiwan before and met people who would like to have other opportunities to learn tango, so im not worried about not liking the place or not being sure of having students. I would plan to stay anywhere between 3 to 6 months.
What would be the responsabilities of those taiwanese school if they were to write a letter for me?
I also would like to do the same for Korea and Japan...would it be any different from Taiwan? I would plan to stay anywhere between 3 to 6 months in each country.
thank you |

Get a multiple entry visa for business purposes.
Read this,

Do not tell the visa office you want to teach, tell them you are going to buy something for your business. Get your visa through a travel agent and tell them you will not pay for the ticket unless you get a multiple entry visa.
Once you are in Taiwan you can extend or change that visa as soon as you decide what kind of visa best suits your needs.
Good luck,
