Hi,
After reading many many posts on this board I don't have a very clear idea of what insitutes tend to pay per hour and what this means in relationship to costs. And, how long in general do experienced teachers wait to start working? How is job availability nowadays?
If you were moving to Oaxaca or Guadalajara what would you recommend to bring for money to hold you over while you get settled--I can live frugally and I lived in various 3rd world countries for 5 years.
Thanks,
Leila |

Both Oaxaca and Guadalajara tend to be on the expensive side as far as cost of living is concerned. I'd suggest having around $2000. USD.
Salaries vary depending on the University or private institute but anything less than $50. pesos/hour is a waste of your time.
Good luck! |
