Does anyone know what is a reasonable rate for a wife to accept on a local package. I hear in Riyadh 700sr Jeddah unlimited and eastern Province only around 3000sr
Does anyone know of any schoold hiring women locally or from abroad, specifically in the eastern Province?

The fact that you are a "wife" has no bearing on your salary, though it may impact on the benefits you do or do not receive. The salary will be as per any local hire contract.
And what "Westerner" would accept a monthly salary of 700SR?!? You should be looking at at least 10 times that. Nor do I understand the huge differentials between the cities you mention. |

opps that was suppose to be 7,000sr
i have asked around and it is a difference in the pay per reguion. i know someone that woked for new horizon/direct english in riyadh part time and made 5,000sr but someone in jubail with same company made 30sr an hour...same nationality...american
also in jeddah private tutors can get 150sr, but in riyadh it is a little less and in eastern province even less.
i figure because most saudis in eastern province are working class but in jeddah and riyadh you may find wealthier ones. |

7,000 SR sounds a bit more like it.
"also in jeddah private tutors can get 150sr, but in riyadh it is a little less and in eastern province even less."
Well, private rates vary considerably, but from person to person more than from region to region. It depends on if your customer is a young student, or a rich businessman, for example.

But are you comparing like with like? The first person you mention seems to be on contract, while the second - from you post - seems to be paid by the hour. So that is a difference which has nothing to do with regions.

There are plenty of poor Saudis in Jeddah, and even more in Riyadh. And why do you think there are no rich Saudis in the East? That's the region where the Kingdoms' wealth is concentrated, after all. |
