Thanks

They have schools in:

Taiwan
China
Thailand

I can tell you from firsthand experience that they are a tough business to work for and they see a lot of teachers come and go - high turn over rate.

A 'Mac-school' for sure

Hi. I went in and looked at working at the schools here in Istanbul. Wall Street is part of Sylvan Learning Systems and they're worldwide I guess. Basically, the courses are computer based. The students pay for a course and they can come anytime day or night and take their lessons on the computer. The program even tests their speaking (if that's entirely possible). Turkish teachers are on hand to help in the computer labs. The native speakers come in to test the students at the end of their levels. They said they called them "encounters". Up to four students are in an encounter. The hours are usually in the evening, and on weekends. Same as most language schools. It didn't sound like a bad deal, and in fact seemed almost like not much of a deal as a teacher. If anyone else has more or better info, feel free to add or correct what I can remember. There's a branch between Sisli and Mecidiyekoy, one in Taksim about that big diamond store Goldas, next to the Marmara, and one on Bagdat street (I think). Maybe there's one in Bakirkoy and one in Kadikoy or somewhere else like that. And...uh...yeah...that's about it. Good luck.

had a chat with Wall St. back in July.

They are offering around 1.4 Billion Turk. Lira a month.

No housing allowance.
No visa reimbursement.

And one month's salary as an end of bonus contract.

The recruiter is located in Sisli. about 40 metres away from the Sisli subway stop. So it's not a big deal to get there.

Good luck,
Irie
