Has anyone heard of a video called Let's Do Talk, apparently made by ESL teachers in Japan as a kind of satire about the whole situation of ESL in Japan?

I imagine this was kind of an amateur video made in the mid-late 90s. I've heard about it, but I've never seen it.

Yes, I'm sure that your wit outshines even the most brilliant of third-graders.

I knew I shouldn't haven't written "amateur". I blame myself for this.

An independent film then? It was a serious question!

OK.I was just messing with you,but really would
ESL teachers put out a video called "Let's Do Talk"?

It sounds like something a Japanese student would say.
For example:I like to do shopping or let's do shopping.

Get my drift?

Benny chan... I think he did say it was meant to be a satire. Do you know what that word means?

Nakano Alien:

You might be referring to the small film made by the guy who now owns and runs Heaven's Door bar in Shimokitazawa.

I haven't seen the film but some of my friends tell me that he puts it on once in a while and is pretty funny in some spots.

Don't know the name of it but have heard of other teachers talking about.

Maybe if you are in the area you can drop by and ask the guy to see it.

A friend of mine had a copy of the "film" in question and so I've seen it. It had some funny parts, but it's mostly rubbish. Junior high school students with a digital camera and probably better writing/acting skills than these "independent film makers" would've done a better job.
