I'm in the process of getting a job in Chiang Mai, all seems to be going well, having worked down south previously.Just wondering are there many teachers around my age(25) in Chiang Mai?Not being ageist!!Made quite a few Thai friends which is great, people seem much more open and friendly here, but just wondering about other Falang.I'm Irish by the way.Chiang Main seems really nice, very fond of the Rooftop Bar and going to check out others like The Riverside.Very typical example of my race aren't i?!!!!Of course the sights are great too!! |

As I can see, there are not many foreign English teachers who are in the same age as yours here. Most of them are over 40 years old. They usually hv some saving money before coming here. As we know, Chiang Mai is not the place to hv a permanant teaching job cos of the low teaching rate. Anyway, some people still enjoy teaching and travel as we have lost cost of living and easy life here. I'm happy to live here as well. My hometown is a great place. |
