I'm thinking of applying to do a CELTA course at International House in Barca - has anyone done the same or heard anything about these courses? Would be interested in some opinions as I've only got the promotional blurb to go by so far! Cheers!

I'm taking it there next year. I talked to a few potential employers and they recommended that location... they said they enjoyed working with IH BCN graduates.

That sounds promising then, the blurb must be pretty honest for once! Jetgirly, did you ask employers in Spain or elsewhere?

Not employers in Spain, but some from other parts of Europe. I can't remember off the top of my head and I'm too lazy to search through all my emails, but I distinctly remember some of the correspondance from Poland... basically, a bunch of schools replied and said they wouldn't hire me without a CELTA, I replied to their emails saying "Thanks... I've registered in a CELTA in 2005 at IH BCN... you may hear from me again when my program is complete...", then a few people specifically wrote back to tell me that they had employees who trained there and as employers, they enjoyed having those people work for them.
