Hi All,
When I lived in Mexico, I worked illegally on an expired tourist visa for three months, and whenever my landlady got mad at me, she threatened to call the police. I don't want that to happen again in Vietnam! I know the government is likely to be somewhat intrusive no matter what, but I've heard horror stories- how hard is it really to get the appropriate visa and a legal job? Or, if most jobs are under the table, how likely is it that I'll get caught, and what will happen if I am? And what about private lessons? Is it done?

only anal and overbearing etc....when you have to deal with them which for most of us (unfortunately not me) is very rarely. And don't expect to work 6 days per week at first. Most schools (unless desperate) will work you in over time.
