New to this site & finally in a position to take the CELTA & hopefully teach in S. Italy, I am confused with all the pos/neg info to teaching there. Maybe someone can share some insights.
So far, I am non-EU, non-Italian speaking but have great education, biz, inter. experience. I hope to take the Manzoni CELTA Nov. '04.
Questions:
1. Is it best to take the CELTA in the mrkt. one hopes to teach?
2. Are there decent teaching possibilities in Jan/Feb. or would I need to
wait for summer/fall '05?
3. Does IH help with jobs and/or do I have time to search during the
CELTA course?
4. Any decent possibilities for non-EU teachers in S.Italy who have other
great credentials?
5. What's the best way to work the job search? In S. Italy, can I get an
apartment w/out a job? What if I find a place, but can't find a job
nearby - can I get out of the apartment situation?
Thanks in advance - any info is very helpful. Ciao.
