Dear all,
After visiting Valencia in Semana Santa this year I've decided to return this September to try and find a teaching position as I enjoyed it there a lot.
At the moment I'm back at home in Ireland. Any ideas about when I should go??
Is the 11th of September too early or too late do you think???? (There's a bargain of a flight on that date!) Bearing in mind that after spending a year teaching English in Castilla La Mancha I don't have unlimited funds set aside.
Apart from having a year's experience, I'm an Irish citizen with a TEFL certificate-will this make any difference to my chances of finding a job at that time????
All info is greatly appreciated,
Thanking you,

It's not too late but you should try to get your CV to as many schools as possible as soon as you arrive as by the time the schools start there will be very few (if any) jobs available.

Hi Ian
Do the schools generally open at the start of October or around mid September???
Do you advise going earlier than the 11th??? |

Most schools will be opening this week. Coming earlier would of course be better but it shouldn't make too much difference as long as you start straight away.
If you need anything when you arrive let me know and I'll try to help.

Hi,
I'd be delighted if anyone here could help me. I'm a qualified teacher who recently spent 5 years in Lisbon working for one of the main schools, teaching a lot of exam and business students and whatnot. Owing to an unfortunate mixup I'm teaching in China at the moment but I'm determined to find a job in Valencia come September. I'd be really grateful if someone could tell the what the main schools are, and what are the chances of getting a job with them, as well as when to reply and so on.
In return I can get you a gmail address if you want one, or a job in aforementioned school in Lisbon if you prefer! Alternatively, some advice about coming to Chjina to teach, ie. don't!
