Anyone what?

Is this another of those TP posts where we have to guess what Gmail means?

Question

No. But if you don't know what G Mail is, then you don't want it Laughing

Oh, and TP was never a post except the one started by someone else where it was clearly said what it was. My signature is not a post Smile

Question Question Question

So in fact it was a post then wasn't it, unless you only classify things written by you as posts & things written by 'someone else' as er.............not. Actually it wasn't clearly stated in that other persons post until quite a while after the original post was put up.

Toilet Paper should not be abbreviated. I thought the R was missing in the acronym

So I obviously wasn't the only person who didn't get it initially.

You responded by saying

What R in what acronym is missing?
Shocked

I can't say for sure but I would think most people on this board (being predominately of the English teaching world) would think it more important to know what TPR means rather than an abbrevation for toilet paper.

No sh*t. I thought you'd been making the same post over and over because you had a sticky button on your keyboard or something. Rolling Eyes Wink Laughing

The title of the thread in question is "Cutting Back on TP". That is why one person (and only one person on that thread) was confused. But he was then not confused once he read the initial posting which I quote for you in full below.

A.K.A.T.D.N. wrote:
I'm a little embarassed to think that as a Westerner I'm apt to use too much TP and that the Chinese at work might notice. I mean, taking a dump the other day I noticed the rather skimpy amounts of TP that the others before me(probably Chinese) had neatly placed in the TP can. Then I noticed my big glob, rather like half a roll, just lying on top of theirs like an ugly mound of some fat slob's refuse. I can't help it, but I don't like tucking and folding my TP so as to save a little excess waste.

So my question is, how much TP do you use? Too much, too little? Cutting back now that you're in Taiwan?

Once he clicked on the title and got to the thread he could easily see what it's about. I was then confused because, opposite to his seeing "TP" and automatically thinking "TPR", I see "TP" and "TPR" doesn't even enter my mind.

I'm not sure if your last comment was sarcasm or not. You posted on an unrelated thread (after my post) wanting to know what TP was. Fine. Of course it was a signature as it was in the space for the signature. Someone else did answer your question there, albeit in French (I think it was French). You then became obsessed with this and upon discovering the TP thread posted your enlightenment. Hence, on this thread I thought you were identifying me as the TP poster, suggesting it was another dumb post by me. Perhaps your meaning was that it was another dumb post, similar to that one about TP by someone else. I don't know, but the chronology explained in this paragraph is why I figured you were thinking it was the former and not the latter.

I gave the nice people of Taiwan two days. Now I'm taking my invite elsewhere. They were jumping through hoops for them on the China board. Go figure.
