A couple that you mioght want to try are...
www.mekongesl.com
www.talesofasia.com
The second one is not so much about teaching, but will give you some info about the area. |

www.ajarn.com
is the nexus for teaching in Thailand, and the jobs page actually had a very nice job description for work in Vientiane about a month ago (which I'm sure is filled by now). Their board would be better suited to answering your question -- or try the board at www.thaivisa.com. Keep in mind that Laos is one of the poorest countries in the world, that they get oodles of do-gooders who will teach there on a volunteer basis (compared to Uganda, or wherever) and that that severely limits English teaching opportunities for those looking for paid work.
Also, unless you have a MA TESOL and years of experience I'd wager that you need to be in-country to be hired.
I expect most jobs in Laos pay about 700 to 1000 USD a month, that it's easy to save on that salary, and that you'll be working 5 days a week with about a month of holiday in April at a decent job. All of these are rough guesses based on the region. |
