Hey, i was wondering if someone could help me! i am interested in teaching in Taiwan, HK or Thailand, was wondering if anyone has taught in both and if they could offer some insight, more interested in the way of life and where teachers have a better standrad of living! Cheers and hope to hear from you soon.
i am a career teacher, who is hoping to progress and be DOS etc, i am not looking to fund a trip around ASIA or anywhere else for that matter! i hope to settle in the place i choose!

I'v taught in Taiwan and Thailand.
Certainly you can save a fair amount of money in Taiwan - but it is also an expensive place to live. I found the culture interesting and fascinating. My quality of life was good - and the country outside the cities - is beautiful.
Thailand - wages are poorer - but I think the quality of life is much better. It is though, for me, harder to save money. Maybe too much fun at hand?
Why not try both? If you hope to be a DOS some day - your broader experience might come in handy. |
