I read about that in a book about Japanese culture.
It is so that they aren't distracted by young girls and they can concentrate on their grades. The book also talked about a long time running sitcom which is about this sort of situation. |

If it was a statistics class, these cases would be outliers....so far from the norm it's unexplicable. So out there, that every country would have these examples. Definately not representative of Japan at all. |

It's a WaiWai story, so take it with a grain of salt. The WaiWai stories that Mainichi runs are taken from the weekly tabloids, and often get spiced up (especially the headlines) when translated into English. |

Yes most of the WaiWai stories are full of crap. I'm sure it has happened before, but it is not representative of the general population by any stretch of the imagination.
Very disgusting subject matter. Your Mom? |

Well, it's what they were talking about on the Korean forum, and there's much worse than that over there, if that answers your question.
I was wondering if there was some sort of cultural explanation...but apparently it's all made up tabloid hype then...
I agree it is pretty nasty. |

That wouldn't fly in statistics.
Being a Tabloid is a far more convincing argument. |

It could be argued that common sense should prevail above everything. If you want a "far more convincing argument" then more information is required.

How can it be statistics if there aren't any statistics. Just misc. examples. I said if were a statistics class.....giving context to the term outlier. If you want to believe it migo, go for it. Get your rocks off... |
