Ok..quick question (again)
If you all have been following my frantic posts, I am interviewing for AEON. For the lesson plan, I am wondering. I am thinking of doing an activity where I teach some vocab and then they put it to use in a game. I am only worried because for the initial interview the lesson has to be 5 minutes. So, I am afraid I will either get to the voacb stuff and not get to the game part before time is over, or I will get to the game and they will only have like 30 seconds to play it.
So do you all think I should just go straight for the lesson plan and forget the game? It's just time constraints and in my opinion, 5 minutes isn't really anything to show them what you got. You know?
So, can someone help me? Suggestions?



Also, I am bilingual in Spanish and English, I think NOVA you can teach Spanish, is it the same with AEON?

I wouldn't go for the game, I've tried that a few times in various subjects and it flops about half the time.

I agree, skip the game. The only time I did a game in a demo lesson, the lesson was an hour long.

What they're looking for is a grammar point with some fill-in-the-blank sentences. For example, good vs. well. Give a few examples of sentences that use these words correctly, and then have pairs of questions and answers in which the student must fill in the blank in the answer:

Q: How does the sushi taste, Hideki?
A: The sushi tastes good.

Really simple stuff. Not rocket science.

I can't tell you about the lesson plan but I've asked about teaching Spanish in Japan too and I've heard there is not much demand, maybe a few hours a week.. If you ever do find a school that does better let me know! ([email protected]) and don't worry too much about your lesson, You'll be fine!
