Tomorrow is the deadline to mail your request for an absentee ballot.

Here is a thread with a few good sites to help you do it:

http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/job/viewtopic.php?t=13787

I liked this one best:
https://www.overseasvote2004.com/index.cfm

Basically you fill out an easy, simple, short online form, print and sign it, mail it to the address provided, and you will receive a ballot in the mail for the November presidential election.

There's still time, you can do it!

Your vote matters--it's what gives you a license to rant for the next four years! No vote, no ranting privelges. No vote, bend over, take what's given to you and shut up.

Think it doesnt matter? Do you think Al Gore would have invaded Iraq and singlehandedly changed America from a sympathetic internationalist government to an isolinear one? (To borrow a term from Geordi LaForge).

Remember, it was the absentee ballots that turned the tide of the last election!

Fill out the quick online form, email it to your parent, have them print it out and mail it for you if that helps expedite it!

Thanks for the heads up Atlas, but I thought the deadline was September the 15th?

Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe it varies from state to state. Now that I look I
see that it is Sep 15 for at least some states. Anyway, it's not too late if you want to pull your lever! Or whatever it is you do behind that curtain.

I was under the impression that the September 10/15 date was more of a suggestion than a deadline. I think it's just important to do it ASAP!

Does anyone have any information about the federal write-in ballots? I have read that if you don't receive your absentee ballot in the mail by October 7, you should request a federal write-in ballot and that you can get it from your local US consulate (maybe this is all I need to know anyway!) I just want to know my options, since mail doesn't always make it to Turkey in a timely fashion!
