I have read that some of you have health insurance in your contract?? What does that cover?? Any information would be helpful. If I was to approach my employer on this I would probably have to know the details and ins and outs, who and how to get this as I am first teacher here and they do not know about some things, like what to do to change currency on my money, I had to find details for them on this. Does medical insurnce cover hospital stay?? We have doctor in school and get pills but I understand this is limited and teachers say doctor is not good/??

My contract offers free medical coverage at the campus and perscriptions filled there are free of charge but im sure they dont offer much coverage so i purchased more complete coverage through CIBC. Hope this help you a bit. You should get more coverage because when they say the offer some medical coverage, we might think 'western style' medical coverage but it totally isnt over there. Best to be prepared especially with the avian flu outbreak and will probably mutate enough to be spread though humans in the next couple of months.

I have the same as you, plus I have separate coverage I obtained from my country, I am asking who here has medical coverage in their contract other than the on site coverage at the school, what does it cover and any other information on the medical coverage ?? I have seen some of you have mentioned having medical insusrance, do you also have accident insurance?? What does it cover, for how much??

My contract offers 1000RMB for medical insur. It is up to the teacher to insure he/she is covered..

Thank you for the information, do you have any further information, which company is the insurance with, how does your school get??
