For all you alternate hopefuls out there, just thought I'd let you know that my boyfriend was officially bumped up to a short list candidate today. Hooray!!!!

Nope, just that he must have been fairly high on the list to be upgraded so soon. We heard by telephone. There are some interesting posts on Big Daikon that discuss this topic...(posted by JET interviewers etc.) they help to give a better perspective on why people become alternates. (check the Vancouver JETs thread, and any thread with "alternate" in it)
