I`m looking for some information about how to book a flight from Vietnam to the U.K
I`ve been teaching in Japan for the last three years but am about to head back home via a months travel in Cambodia and Vietnam. I`ve found a cheap flight to Cambodia and plan to go by land into Vietnam and buy a ticket to London from there.
Does anyone have any advice about how to go about it?Do you know any cheap travel agents and whether I should try and book the ticket in advance or if it`s easy to get a more last minute flight. I would prefer not to have a ticket booked too far in advance as that way I can keep my travel plans more flexible.

Try the lastminute.com website - we got flights from Heathrow to HCMC for around 400 pounds.

you may want to check www.gatewaylax.com. I am in Singapore airport right now and got a one way ticket for 500$ from the eastern side of the US to HCMC. I couldnt find anything cheaper, but your original departure may lessen the cost.

Flights from VN to UK are pretty cheap - try Air France on Dong Khoi as they often have special offers and fly direct to Paris. Alternatively try Exotissimo Travel on Ton Duc Thang (ground floor of the Saigon Trade Centre - the big building with the 4 spikes on the roof). I got a flight from them SGN-LHR one-way for about $600 last year - via Tokyo Rolling Eyes
