Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site. Is there anyone working for ACC English school? Just want to get some feedback on the company. I have never been to Japan before, so any information about living there and working for ACC would be appreciated. Thanks for all your help. |

Where in Japan will you be?
You know it's typhoon season now with the next big earthquake coming our way, so please be careful when you get here. I'm sure you'll have a great experience here! Sorry I've never heard of ACC or know anyone who worked there before, so as for the info about the company, I can't help much. |

ACC is a pretty small company. They got few schools in Japan with alot around the Nagoya area. They seem to pefer to hire women(you don't know this until you apply and they tell you that) but do hire guys. Take that for what its worth.
Can't tell you much past that about them. You could do worse and you could do better I am sure. |

I will be living in Hekinan, just outside of nagoya. I'll be moving there at the end of october. I'm a little nervous about moving someplace where the earth moves...alot!, lol, but nature loves to keep us on our toes. Any other information on ACC or Hekinan would be great! Thanks! |

I live near in a small town near Nagoya. I enjoy no, I love living in Japan. I will give you some advice on how to have an easier time adjusting to life in Japan. Don't hang out with too many foreigners. Most foriengers in Japan are negative and will ruin your attitude. I do have a few foreign friends from Australia, New Zealand, the U.S. and even Canada and we all agree for the most part try to make friends with Japanese for a number of reasons. One a Japanese person will not sit around talking about how bad life is in Japan. Another benefit about making Japanese friends is that they will show you the more positive aspects about Japanese culture like eating and drinking at an ezakaya, learning about the history and so on.
I now know Nagoya pretty well. If you want I can let you know of some places to go where everyone is friendly. I know a few British pubs that always has a mixed crowd. |
